Chevrons throwing away opportunities
Zimbabwe’s cricket team Chevrons at the T20 World Cup in Australia, have had big opportunities to try their luck into Semis by defeating Bangladesh and Netherlands after the game against South Africa which was washed away due to rain and after getting a victory against Pakistan yet they let the chances slip through their hands.
It seems the team’s poor batting performance and poor strategy has let them down, they came so close against Bangladesh last match, but lost to it by 3 runs.
Hoping for the best but only to disappoint more in today’s performance against Netherlands, batting flaws were clearly visible making it seem as if Raza is single handedly winning matches for the team just like the days of Brandon Taylor.
Then comes the struggling Milton Shumba who never misses a chance to disappoint, the player can’t even hit simple shot with his bat on Australian pitches,he went out on 2runs of 3 balls,he isn’t in form 7 games and 65runs altogether.
In their match against India on Sunday, instead of Shumba on the pitch it will be good to put Munyonga or Madande as batsman for a change that would help the struggling batting line-up of Zimbabwe.
