
Zanu PF Congress kicks off
The Zanu PF 7th Congress kicks off today as it will open with a Politburo and before the official opening on Friday there will be a Central committee indaba on Thursday.
Zanu PF secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa said all is set for the Congress in a statement released yesterday.
“The Secretary for Administration Cde Dr Obert Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be an Ordinary session of the Politburo to be held on Wednesday October 26, 2022,at the home of the people’s revolution, Zanu PF Headquarters commencing at 1000hrs. All members should be seated by 0945 sharp”, read the statement.
Politburo members are said to have arrived yesterday whereas Central Committee members are expected to be in today ahead of their 118th meeting which is where highest decisions of the party will take place at the Zanu PF Headquarters.
Every other Congress delegate are expected to arrive tomorrow ahead of the 7th official opening of the National People’s Congress by the Zanu Pf first secretary President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The event running under the theme “Building a Prosperous Zimbabwe, Leaving No One and No Place Behind”, and about 3 500 or more delegates are expected to attend including sister revolutionary parties from the region and beyond.
